Local Culinary School Rebrands as Top Toques Institute of Culinary Excellence

KITCHENER, Ontario: After decades of service, the Kitchener Campus of Liaison College has rebranded to Top Toques Institute of Culinary Excellence. This rebrand is to reflect the College’s vision and sole focus on education and training for the industry.

Director Chef Elaina Kourie, CCC, CCE, MWMCS, and her team of Chefs have an uncompromising dedication to exceptional culinary arts education and training. To continue the success of the College, Chef Elaina set out to expand her mission. Today as Top Toques, the institution is exclusively committed to continuously providing quality culinary arts education to improve the culinary industry.

Chef Elaina’s vision is, “To exemplify and promote the development of excellence in culinary arts training. We are committed to improving the industry by training highly skilled and educated Chefs with a commitment to professionalism, advanced technical culinary skills, innovation, critical thinking, accountability, and leadership.”

Top Toques Institute of Culinary Excellence is a Career College registered under the Private Career Colleges Act, 2005. We offer programs for individuals who love to cook and want to learn what it takes to succeed in the foodservice industry. Our Diploma Level Programs have been approved as Vocational Programs under the Private Career Colleges Act, 2005. The students of Top Toques are the future leaders of the culinary industry. They are dedicated to training in culinary arts excellence, food science, culinary management, entrepreneurship, hospitality, and much more. Applications for the upcoming fall program start date are now open. Programs are offered in an accelerated time frame through full-time and part-time studies with online options available. Top Toques Institute of Culinary Excellence was founded on a simple idea; culinary arts education must be practical, rewarding, and give its graduates the best possible foundation for a career. The institute focuses on career training in the culinary arts, offering 2/3 of the program in the kitchen. Designed by Chefs, the programs provide students with the skills they need in today’s demanding foodservice operations. What is it about Top Toques that sets it apart? It is a concentrated education, based on learning by doing, where techniques and practical hands-on application form the backbone of the professional programs.
