Cook Basic Diploma
This diploma program is an intensive 300-hour exploration and application of classic culinary techniques. Two-thirds of the program is spent in the kitchen, under the supervision of award winning and highly accredited certified Chef Instructors. Students develop the real-world hands-on skills necessary for culinary success. This program is designed by professional Chefs for individuals looking to enter the culinary world as cooks and ultimately become Chefs themselves.
We prepare graduates to work successfully in the food service industry.

If you wish to be admitted into Top Toques Institute of Culinary Excellence in Ontario, our admissions process includes a few requirements for students. Students must have completed high school and provide proof of their diploma or transcript. Those who have not completed high school may still be accepted into our program by successfully taking and passing the CAST entrance exam. International students must provide us with proof of post-secondary education or high school completion from their country and successfully complete the IELTS test within the last two years with a 5.5 overall band score. Please note we may also ask international students to complete the CAST entrance exam successfully.
